Windows 10 gets stuck booting with some laptop configurations if - Microsoft Community

hello,

i have problem when turn on laptop, windows doesn't boot desktop , freezes keyboard. have researched can happen if system cannot detect state of hibernation hardware in. have request next major update of windows 10 include option disable hibernation when setting pc fresh installation.

would possible? because right now, don't want keep doing hard reset when os fails wake , places great amount of burden pn hardware.

this urgent , of great importance myself , many others well.

• powercfg /h off <-- eliminate hibernation types
• powercfg /h reduced <-- allows smaller hiberfil.sys, allows fast startup.
• powercfg /h /? <-- explains options

powercfg /hibernate <on|off>

powercfg /hibernate /size <percent_size>

powercfg /hibernate /type <reduced|full>

alias:
  powercfg /h

description:
  enables/disables hibernate feature or sets hiberfile size.

parameter list:
  <on|off>                enables/disables hibernate feature.

  /size <percent_size>    specifies desired hiberfile size percentage
                          of total memory size. default size cannot be
                          smaller 40. parameter cause
                          hibernate enabled.

  /type <reduced|full>    specifies desired hiberfile type. reduced
                          hiberfile supports hiberboot.

examples:
  powercfg /hibernate off

  powercfg /hibernate /size 100

  powercfg /hibernate /type reduced

also, in settings - power & sleep - additional power settings can choose power button does.

there can uncheck turn on fast startup. might eliminate issue without disabling hibernation, if full hibernation still works you. may have 1 hardware component not resuming sleep state properly, can hard track down.
