Windows 10 Won't Stay Asleep - Microsoft Community


like apparently thousands of other people, struggling getting windows 10 go sleep, , stay asleep. sincerely hope microsoft devoting serious resources upgrading existing power management utility, powercfg, user friendly angry pit bull :).

here's situation:

1) device on computer can wake machine sleep state network card (i need active because media server remote display devices need able wake up).

2) wake timers present dvr program, sagetv, uses them wake record shows. system refuses stay asleep when wake timer set point hours in future.

3) application log filled pairs of events following:

4) powercfg /lastwake shows no event having woken computer

so system trying go sleep...but waking 2 seconds later.

what in world going on, , how fix it?

we found identical post related query sleep mode in windows 10. please check anish kumar's post on thread on how configure sleep mode settings on pc.

you may check processes in task manager , stop services running continuously in background.

let know if have other concerns.
