Taskbar is being strange - Microsoft Community

hello, 

i tried looking through other problems people have been having taskbars, there problems taskbar malfunctioning due windows 10 update. tried restarting computer

i have windows 10, problem buttons on taskbar not work, , i'm not sure if got strange virus or something, shouldn't because of windows 10 update. 

the windows button not working when click it, works when right-click it. cortana's search button works fine well, , programs on taskbar such file manager work when click it, right-click menu not pop when right-click. arrow leading more options work, other buttons indicating battery percentage on laptop doesn't work, , can't calendar pop up. notifications button other settings (i.e. rotation lock, airplane mode) won't pop either.

i downloaded trial of norton , restarted laptop, , after restarted it, that's when problems started happening.

this symptom consistent possibility start screen showing on monitor screen looking @ secondary.  test idea , possibly change symptom should try press win-p, cursorup, enter.  under hypothesis not expect see project dialog use change display (at same time causing  screen refresh).  better have monitor attach , see if happening.
