Windows 10 - constant freezes and lock ups - Microsoft Community

hey everyone,

at wits use help.

symptoms:

slow boot up

most of apps wont load.

freezes whenever uac/admin right prompt triggers (screen goes dim,hear sound bite, no pop appears can ctrl alt dlt out of it)

will freeze after 15 minutes forcing power cycle

all started on may 17th, booted wow played 20 minutes crashed, battle.net app started have issues saw ssd had 5 gigs of space  left ( installed skyrim on ssd in error) made room , that's when realized severity of issue. 

due admin rights issue reduces amount of troubleshooting can do, here's i've tried.

uninstalling may updates

reinstalling may updates

reset (all options fail @ 30%)

safe mode (computer doesn't freeze admin rights, still wont pop me accept)

clean boot - issue remained

uninstalled avast, disabled windows defender

and few others im forgetting. appreciated!

 

hello,

there multiple possibilities why experiencing issue. assist concern, suggest run system file checker scan corrupted system files. can refer article on how this.

if not work , since have tried other troubleshooting steps, next option reinstall windows 10 using medial creation tool.

we wait update.
