Microsoft account (semi-locked) - MS Send Code to Email to - Microsoft Community

ok - start mess (that i'm 48 hours ms customer service not being helpful).

short version - wanted queue xbox 1 games present son next week.

so, xbox wrapped up, try , buy through pc. ms asks send email verify account before can buy. email never comes through (primary or secondary). check filters, settings etc - have think it's problem @ ms end. change verification phone (no warnings of implications doing this). code on phone unable buy or change in account verification option has changed (for 30 days - how crazy this?)

so try , cancel change phone verification , stuck in endless loop of trying email code code never arriving.

the coup de grace unwrap xbox 1 last night in desperation- find sends me same loop , won't set up.

very annoyed - after trying give ms money - , potentially have expensive paperweight give son next week ("happy birthday").

is there can out of loop? figure if can code email can re-activate account there seems no way of doing this. should mention i've received codes before same email accounts , nothing has changed since then.

i have ms seem have worst process ever here - if email code send thing breaks down (as appears have done here) there appears no way out. locking out 30 days because change verification type seems security measures gone mad.

there several reasons why not able receive verification code needed set microsoft account.

first, recommend check junk folder , missing email there.

second, need double check have provided correct email address when signing up.

lastly, may opt add email alias in microsoft account alternative email sign in , try send email verification email address instead.
