Adding a pin to Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

hi,

my version of win 10 date. after recent updates installed login screen asked me password instead of pin set do, pre updates.

now when going accounts , click add under section add pin, nothing happens.

what need fix this?

you may encounter issue if credential manager service not set run automatically. check if credential manager service running, follow these steps:

1. click start, type services.msc , press enter. 
2. double-click credential manager on list of services.
3. if service status:  set running, click stop. if not, proceed next step.
4. check startup type: value , change automatic if set manual.
5. click start , press ok.
6. close services window , restart computer.
7. check if you'll able add pin.
