removing a microsoft account from a Windows 10 laptop - Microsoft Community

husband kindly set new laptop me when busy thoughtlessly used microsoft account not mine. find can't find anyway remove , replace mine.  appreciated.

to resolve concern, suggest add local account first on pc, before removing other account. follow steps below:

• to create local account on windows 10 pc:

1. press windows key + r.
2. type netplwiz, , click ok.
3. click add.
4. click sign in without microsoft account (not recommended).
5. click local account, type username, , password (if you'd one).
6. click next, , click finish.
7. sign out of microsoft account want delete, sign in using local account created, , remove account want delete.

• to remove microsoft account windows 10 pc:

1. click start button, , click settings.
2. click accounts, scroll down, , click microsoft account delete.
3. click remove, , click yes.
