Windows 10 Pro, more or less secure when TPM is enabled? - Microsoft Community

i'm not professional, home user seeking knowledge.

i have 2 pc's, not networked nor on domain.  both running windows 10 pro version 1703.  both hardwired router. tpm 2.0 enabled on newer pc , older pc not have tpm, neither 1.2 or 2.0.  neither pc has bitlocker or secure boot enabled.

automatic enabling of tpm touted ms security feature in windows 10 if have appropriate hardware.  older pc without tpm vulnerable newer pc tpm invulnerable?  presence of tpm prevent occurring?  can happen non-tpm pc cannot happen tpm pc? 

i understand antivirus software mitigates infection virus, malware etc.  tpm mitigate?  prevent unauthorized remote access pc result of download, email or browsing infected website?

i have talked 7 people @ ms , no 1 can give me meaningful answer these questions!

or tpm enhances security when paired bitlocker and/or secure boot?
