Adobe Reader defeats Power Settings in Win 10 - Microsoft Community


i running win 10 date.  adobe reader, when opened, 2 things unexpectedly: 1.  gives "windows application err 0xc000022" others have reported, (2) defeats power settings system no longer go sleep automatically.  i can put sleep manually.  after reboot, system go sleep automatically until first time adobe reader called.

win:   ver 1607 os build 14393.1066.  

reader:   ver.  2017.009.20044.  

any ideas?

hello joe,

error code due missing or corrupted files, accessibility issue hinder application's performance. security software interference , missing dll files culprit why you're getting error message.

have tried running system file checker tool missing or corrupted system files?

furthermore, check mike_keys' response in thread other available workarounds regarding issue.

let know if have questions.

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

did upgrade win 7 win 10 when kept getting messages telling me needed update before stop supporting win 7, , far must dislike win10.  i've had lot of problems, main being lot of times when turn on laptop, blank screen.  the laptop on , running, there light coming screen can't past screen.  at 1 point, closed screen go sleep, open screen , fine.  that doesn't work either - laptop won't go sleep.  i've tried going safe mode, messing different settings nothing has worked.  i install updates windows recommends - i'm @ loss , frustrated.  anyone have ideas on how fix blank screen logons?  is video driver issue??  i appreciate before frustrated , throw laptop out window.  :)  thanks in advance. answers post should include minimum information. 1.  device type. ie pc, laptop, tablet, surface. 2.  os type, home, pro, executive, etc 3.  current build....
