•beginning october 2016 release, microsoft changing update servicing model windows 7, windows server 2008 r2, windows 8.1, windows server 2012, , windows server 2012 r2. more information, please see microsoft technet article,  further simplifying servicing models forwindows 7 , windows 8.1.
•windows 10 updates cumulative. monthly security release includes security fixes vulnerabilities affect windows 10, in addition non-security updates. updates available via microsoft update catalog

•starting in march 2017, there windows 10 1607 delta package contains delta changes between previous month , current release.
•updates windows rt 8.1 , microsoft office rt software available via windows update.
•in addition security changes vulnerabilities, updates include defense-in-depth updates improve security-related features

dear all, lately i've found folder in both c: , d:, named $av_asw. inside there vault folder , within folder, db file can't open notepad or ms access. idea on this? i've tried googling gave me avast instead, however, i've used avast more 3 years now, no such file exist before. virus or bug or malware or whatever? please advice. thanks! what name of file? sounds avasts vault put potentially unwanted or infected files prevent them doing harm. WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

did upgrade win 7 win 10 when kept getting messages telling me needed update before stop supporting win 7, , far must dislike win10.  i've had lot of problems, main being lot of times when turn on laptop, blank screen.  the laptop on , running, there light coming screen can't past screen.  at 1 point, closed screen go sleep, open screen , fine.  that doesn't work either - laptop won't go sleep.  i've tried going safe mode, messing different settings nothing has worked.  i install updates windows recommends - i'm @ loss , frustrated.  anyone have ideas on how fix blank screen logons?  is video driver issue??  i appreciate before frustrated , throw laptop out window.  :)  thanks in advance. answers post should include minimum information. 1.  device type. ie pc, laptop, tablet, surface. 2.  os type, home, pro, executive, etc 3.  current build....
