Windows media player (win 10 home 64 bit) will NOT move past - Microsoft Community


using windows 10 home 64 bit.

when try load media player screen "welcome windows media player".

i supposed select "recommended settings" or "custom settings".

no matter select - after clicking on finish - reloads welcome screen.

any appreciated.

this may work explanation previous version of windows may need steps reach run command:

type msdt.exe -id windowsmediaplayerconfigurationdiagnostic in start>run , hit enter open troubleshooting wizard reset wmp default settings.

dear all, lately i've found folder in both c: , d:, named $av_asw. inside there vault folder , within folder, db file can't open notepad or ms access. idea on this? i've tried googling gave me avast instead, however, i've used avast more 3 years now, no such file exist before. virus or bug or malware or whatever? please advice. thanks! what name of file? sounds avasts vault put potentially unwanted or infected files prevent them doing harm.
