Windows update has frozen computer - Microsoft Community


yesterday computer popped update, install went fine until restarted.  now blue screen says please wait.  i have waited , waited, left on night , stayed same.  i have done force shut down 6 times , doesnt good.  please help!

hi sarah,

the issue caused improper windows update installation. if installation of update interrupted, example, system crash, of windows update files may corrupted. error may triggered third-party program conflict.

let narrow down possibilities why pc encountered error during windows update. can follow troubleshooting steps below:

  1. temporarily disable antivirus program before running windows update.
  2. visit article on how perform clean boot in windows.
  3. reset windows update components. since you’re using windows 10, can running windows update troubleshooter. click on arrow beside windows 10 on link.
  4. restart computer changes take effect , run windows update again.


note: after doing steps above, can enable antivirus program again.

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows error No Certificate Available - Microsoft Community
