Corrupted User Profile - Microsoft Community
after downloading few apps windows store earlier week, 1 of computer's user profiles not working correctly. can log it, taskbar frozen. pressing windows key + x works but pressing windows key + r not work. neither run command administrator menu. other user accounts work fine (including mine). i've tried: 'sfc /scannow' 'dism /online /cleanup-image /restore health'. after trying restore system earlier date, errors say, system restore failed, , when press windows key + r or else on administrator menu error message says, "system call failed". i've tried starting in safe mode, but didn't fix problem. have norton antivirus, and disabled "tamperproof protection" option. did not help. of now, i'm 10 hours , i'm getting extremely pissed off. know, didn't buy new computer windows 10 spend weekend troubleshooting it. have actual non-geek work do, , other users. what's going on here, why windows 10 unstable? , while i'm ranting, favorites in edge disappeared again (this fourth time). gives? big brother watching or average programmer? computer , software is tool...not unlike other tool...and when put hands on it, need the job without asking bunch of stupid questions how , why that. so...the question is: there way fix problem without reinstalling windows , deleting of apps? and, way, extremely helpful if explain windows 10 registry me--what do, why, , how?
