Settings are hidden/managed by organization on private computer - Microsoft Community

recently had malware changed major settings, thought changed them found out if go customize start menu settings there red text says "*some settings hidden or managed organization". isn't right because private computer. there solution can on own?

the message some settings hidden or managed organization appears when user trying modify settings , features limited access or there misconfiguration during upgrade.

to address issue, let's reconfigure windows 10 settings. here steps:

1. press windows key + s , type gpedit.msc.
2. right-click on search result , click run administrator.
3. on left pane, go computer configuration > administrative templates > windows components > data , preview builds.
4. on right pane, double-click allow telemetry , click enabled.
   
5. click drop-down under options , select full, click ok.
6. in group policy editor, double-click allow telemetry.
7. select not configured , hit ok.

once done, try customize start menu settings again , see if error message comes up.
