Windows 10 DISM Checkhealth returns "No component store corruption - Microsoft Community

lately i've been having many issues windows 10 disk. started when disk read 100% in task manager , continued worse. eventually, sfc /scannow not scan parts of image "corrupted , unreadable". tried chkdsk /f /r (along every other argument possible machine, including /scan , /x), , last time tried it, machine restarted without saying anything. unusual, did not leave chkdsk log saying operation completed. naturally, next step dism utility, (like sfc) failed. tried dism /online /cleanup-image /restore-health, returned "the file or directory corrupted , unreadable" remeniscent of sfc. tried restorehealth (to no avail). i'm asking - response dism yielded "no component store corruption detected. operation completed successfully." possibly notable tried in safe mode, result still strange (as dism seems working fine in safe mode part). there i'm doing wrong? also, have ideas else fix windows 10 image? (i ran s.m.a.r.t. scan , disk "ok". on top of that, chrome no longer works on computer, if helps diagnosing issue any.) always, thank responses!

hello,

a corrupted user profile can cause issue. check, suggest create new local user account on computer. log in new account , check if experience problem.

since mentioned performed s.m.a.r.t. scan. did find bad sectors on hard disk? recommend use hard drive's utility software check bad sectors. issue can symptom of failing hard disk.

if issue persists, know following information further pinpoint cause of problem:

  • do experience 100% disk usage if computer idle?
  • have made changes on computer before experiencing issue?
  • apart chrome, experience issues on other programs?

keep updated status of issue.
