Device Encryption vs Bitlocker - Microsoft Community


difference between device encryption comes windows 10 home (if 1 has the required hardware) and bitlocker?  have new laptop running windows 10 home.  going upgrade windows 10 pro bitlocker when noticed "device encryption on."  have few specific questions.  1) bitlocker, there recovery key.  there not appear 1 drive encryption.  because windows account password used?  2) device encryption encrypt external hard drive , can hard drive read computer not using same ms account? 3) are there security or functionality reasons upgrade windows pro bitlocker?  any other thoughts trying figure out appreciated.

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows error No Certificate Available - Microsoft Community
