Why does the System Tray only appear on my secondary monitor? - Microsoft Community

why system tray appear on monitor #2 of 3 monitor set up?

the laptop #1, , there 2 identical external monitors identify (in control panel) show #2 , #3.

i'm running windows 10 64-bit, patched through , including february 2017 "patch tuesday".

i seeking 1 of following outcomes:

1. system tray appears on monitors

or

2. system tray appears on laptop monitor.

to address concern, suggest follow these steps on how make laptop main display:

1. go settings.
2. select system.
3. choose number of preferred monitor under customize display. (click identify show number of preferred monitor)
4. check make main display box.
5. click apply.

you may try method:

1. right-click main taskbar, uncheck lock taskbars.
2. drag main taskbar preferred screen.
3. right-click again main taskbar , check lock taskbar.
