Windows 10 has hijacked my PC - taken over my administrator rights - Microsoft Community

ever since updating windows 10 have been annoyed daily fact admission own computer possible using  microsoft password / logging in microsoft account. old personal administrator password used in windows 8 no longer valid. plain , simple - adminstrator account , pc has been hijacked microsoft - in way not right.

how remove connection between access own pc , logging in microsoft account.

there 2 kinds of user accounts in windows 10: microsoft account , local account. if user account connected microsoft account, need sign-in using microsoft password. microsoft account, can use windows store , install apps.

a local account user account not connected microsoft account. is username , password combination use log in legacy windows operating systems. more detailed comparison, may refer following thread: microsoft account vs. local account on windows 10.

if user account converted microsoft account, switch local account following steps below:

1. click start, , open settings app clicking on cog icon.
2. go accounts, , select your info. verify logged in using microsoft account.
3. click on sign in local account instead. enter current microsoft account password authenticate, , hit next.
4. select new username , password local account.
