Windows 10 still turns off screen after 5-10 minutes inactivity - Microsoft Community


after posting similar issue earlier year, created customer power plan.

it worked while, i'm square 1 - windows 10 has started turning off screen after 5-10 minutes.

the change can think of last windows updates:

  1. 2017-05 update windows 10 version 1607 x64-based systems (kb3150513)-05/05
  2. windows malicious software removal tool windows 8, 8.1, 10 , windows server 2012, 2012 r2, 2016 x64 edition - may 2017 (kb890830), kb4020821, kb3191843, kb3118310 and kb3191899 -09/05

hi,

to power plan settings on device, suggest deleting , creating new custom power plan. there possibility plan encountered corruption stopping system retain information.

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community
