"open with"  is present , set describe.   not work!  

upon using ms win 10 following upgrade, using technique used time when working files.  i right click on file, click on   "open with"   , select among list of  applications open file.  i use   "open with"   in manner because not want use default application open file.   there times want open .jpg file in   "paint"   or  "photos"  or   "windows media player" rather default.  i used technique ever since graded win10.  now, not there no choices when employing     "open with"  but "open with"    is grey , not work.

when right clicking on file want use  “open with”  to open file.  i cannot because  “open with”  is grey , not responsive.  i can right click on file click on   “properties”   , in   “general”   tab can click on   “change . . .”     box reveal window change application open files.

there can see list of applications available on computer including photos, ms office, on1 photo raw, paint, adobe acrobat reader, internet explorer, ms word, notepad, perfect expert, presentations, quattro pro, windows media player, word pad, word perfect lighting, word perfect available open files.  at bottom   “look app n pc”    choice.

want list open when right click on file , click on “open with”

since "open with" button working, can suggest check registry editor on computer. in way if said folder open not available or missing, can re-create issue resolved. have open, can follow instructions below:

1. right-click start, then select run.
2. enter regeditin the open:box , select ok.
3. once press ok, window pop up. click yes.

for find open folder, kindly go following folder on left side of registry editor window: hkey_classes_root\*\shellex\contextmenuhandlers. if open with folder missing on contextmenuhandlers key, right click contextmenuhandlers key , select new , click key menu.

now lets create new key on computer following steps below:

1. once you're done creating new key, type open with name it.
2. on folder of open with, there default value on right pane. double click edit value.
3. enter following in “value data” edit box on edit string dialog box. recommend copy following text , paste box. {09799afb-ad67-11d1-abcd-00c04fc30936}
4. click ok , close registry editor going file , clicking exit.

the open option should available once done these steps. if not, kindly restart computer , check if said changes has been applied.
