Desktop icons started jumping with the Creators Update - Microsoft Community

hi everyone,

i've got creator update, , have exact same issue. went here see if long-term solution found seems it's not case.

yet, may have found : first reaction thinking there may hidden files on desktop, occupying space when move icons, ghost files makes them jump around.

so first thing did showing hidden files in explorer, none appeared on desktop.
did dumbest thing, flooded desktop new folders see if problem there, , came out (i changed background make clear)

the empty rows should occupied folders, aren't.

i don't know if finding solutions it's there.
want point out temporary solutions works, if copy-paste more new folders, same pattern occur, leaving empty rows, filled hidden stuff.

hi,

possible icons set large why seeing empty rows between folders. can change view or size of icons. in way, no longer see large gaps or spaces between icons. perform task, kind refer article below:
