Change Windows 10 Password Without Changing Microsoft Account Password - Microsoft Community

i have pc running windows 10. use microsoft account password log in pc , gives me access microsoft apps, email, account sites, etc. have bought new pc running windows 10. want set new pc same password. so when i enter ms account password when power on i will have access outlook & other ms apps without having enter new passwords. (just old computer).

i handing down old pc , need change power on/logon local password without affecting microsoft accounts/apps, etc. how do without affecting microsoft account password outlook, email passwords, etc? new owner can set own microsoft account passwords if desired.

if still want use microsoft account on new windows 10 computer, may continue so. can still use how used on old windows 10. however, on old computer, can clean install remove everything. see thread on how perform it.
