whenever boot laptop when not connected internet, lock screen says "your pc offline. please sign in last password used on pc."  so, naturally, do.  but doesn't work until 4th 6th time re-enter password.

there no doubt entering correct password!  this password works when laptop in online.

this annoying, when dealing clients in office!  and frustrating waste of time.  there should no restrictions on getting lock screen computer, whether online or offline, if remember password correctly.  

how can lock screen / sign in screen laptop on first try?

no other forums seem give sensible answer this.

better assist concern signing in pc, we'll need answer following questions:

• when did problem start occur?
• were there changes made on computer before issue started?
• are using microsoft account password when logging in pc?

if using microsoft account, may try logging in local account instead. that, click on start, open settings, select accounts, go your info tab, , click on sign in local account instead.
