Start up problem - Microsoft Community


i reset pc compaq , 8.1 windows.  did upgrade windows 10.

the reset took 8 hours , when switched on again, got set screen.  when press express settings eventually compaq logo screen appears.  dots going round , round , reverts set screen again.  not technical simple explanations appreciated.  thank in advance.

make sure device cannot connect internet , unplug usb devices receiver wireless mouse or keyboard.

press , hold power button 5 - 10 seconds perform hard shutdown.

wait 1 minute, restart system



Windows / Windows 10 / Power on or off a device / PC

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

did upgrade win 7 win 10 when kept getting messages telling me needed update before stop supporting win 7, , far must dislike win10.  i've had lot of problems, main being lot of times when turn on laptop, blank screen.  the laptop on , running, there light coming screen can't past screen.  at 1 point, closed screen go sleep, open screen , fine.  that doesn't work either - laptop won't go sleep.  i've tried going safe mode, messing different settings nothing has worked.  i install updates windows recommends - i'm @ loss , frustrated.  anyone have ideas on how fix blank screen logons?  is video driver issue??  i appreciate before frustrated , throw laptop out window.  :)  thanks in advance. answers post should include minimum information. 1.  device type. ie pc, laptop, tablet, surface. 2.  os type, home, pro, executive, etc 3.  current build....
