Win 10 suddenly takes long time to boot - Microsoft Community


i using windows 10 on laptop more 1 year , booting fast (approx. taking 15 20 seconds boot) if switching on battery or power on (by booting meant time gap switching on showing password screen).  jan 15th (or 16th) 2017 onward laptop taking approx. 2 4 minutes boot when power button on (it stuck windows logo , round thingy rotating in slow motion , not usual fast way. trying hard access hard disk , can hear irritating sound clearly. not sure trying access). when trying boot on battery surprisingly still taking 15-20 seconds only. since have been searching internet find solutions have been unsuccessful.  if has solutions this, please let me know.

i have not done changes windows setting during time. win 10 date connected internet every day. thing happened during time windows update kb3213986 (cumulative update windows 10 version 1607) failed on 13th (if guys remember there quite lot of issues update users on world). used “try again” option , on same day installed. (i not sure whether there connection update , problem, thought of mentioning here).

before uploading system information file, have else say. having issue last 1 month , had searched on internet solutions , never found. decided post question , framed on ms word. before posting wanted check if program installed on laptop before started having issue. went “programs , features” sorted on “installed on date” , found pc had automatically installed update of skype on 14th of jan (which before start of issue). wanted make sure whether update has caused booting issue. opened skype , updated latest version , shutdown pc (not restart) , switched on power on. problem continued , guessed different issue , posted query.

then saw reply , restarted pc power on , surprisingly found took 40 seconds boot (still better 2 4 minutes). shut down pc , switched on power on. time, surprisingly started booting in 15-20 seconds (just how earlier). did couple of times sure , started working used earlier. means problem skype , should have waited more time before posting query , embarrassed.

anyway again , check couple of days more , if original problem repeats, upload system information file have asked.

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

did upgrade win 7 win 10 when kept getting messages telling me needed update before stop supporting win 7, , far must dislike win10.  i've had lot of problems, main being lot of times when turn on laptop, blank screen.  the laptop on , running, there light coming screen can't past screen.  at 1 point, closed screen go sleep, open screen , fine.  that doesn't work either - laptop won't go sleep.  i've tried going safe mode, messing different settings nothing has worked.  i install updates windows recommends - i'm @ loss , frustrated.  anyone have ideas on how fix blank screen logons?  is video driver issue??  i appreciate before frustrated , throw laptop out window.  :)  thanks in advance. answers post should include minimum information. 1.  device type. ie pc, laptop, tablet, surface. 2.  os type, home, pro, executive, etc 3.  current build....
