Windows 10: What will happen if I install all the software on my - Microsoft Community


question have quite long time. used install software on other drives c drive contain os. because c drive not have space. try build new pc with larger ssd as system drive. wonder can install software on c drive without causing lagging? gonna lower boot speed?

of course can , should install software (applications) on c drive.

this can not , not cause lagging, here basic understanding of how pc works

  • os, applications , files stored on hard drive
  • when start pc os loaded ram (memory)
  • when start application or open document, loaded ram (memory)
  • as perform actions in application or on document, data moved between ram , processor
  • when save document moved ram hard drive

so causes lagging, data in ram or processor being busy, open applications , documents working on minimise ram , processor usage . . .

therefore immaterial how many applications have stored on hard drive, if not in ram, cannot slow down pc. make sure have plenty of spare space on hard drive, never fill hard drive , ok!

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

did upgrade win 7 win 10 when kept getting messages telling me needed update before stop supporting win 7, , far must dislike win10.  i've had lot of problems, main being lot of times when turn on laptop, blank screen.  the laptop on , running, there light coming screen can't past screen.  at 1 point, closed screen go sleep, open screen , fine.  that doesn't work either - laptop won't go sleep.  i've tried going safe mode, messing different settings nothing has worked.  i install updates windows recommends - i'm @ loss , frustrated.  anyone have ideas on how fix blank screen logons?  is video driver issue??  i appreciate before frustrated , throw laptop out window.  :)  thanks in advance. answers post should include minimum information. 1.  device type. ie pc, laptop, tablet, surface. 2.  os type, home, pro, executive, etc 3.  current build....
