Windows blanks and resets display - Microsoft Community


as complete non-geek frustrated, gone week , came home this:

my desktop monitor display goes blank second , re-arranges icons on screen, bringing them , ruining organization. also, icons on desktop have widened, distorting pictures.

i a,m sure there simple solution nothing computer simple man, can help?

hi,

most of time, blank screen caused old or corrupted drivers. issue of yours seems corruption of video card drivers. usually, blank screen provides error message. if you're getting any, send screenshot. also, have made modifications/configurations on computer prior issue?

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

did upgrade win 7 win 10 when kept getting messages telling me needed update before stop supporting win 7, , far must dislike win10.  i've had lot of problems, main being lot of times when turn on laptop, blank screen.  the laptop on , running, there light coming screen can't past screen.  at 1 point, closed screen go sleep, open screen , fine.  that doesn't work either - laptop won't go sleep.  i've tried going safe mode, messing different settings nothing has worked.  i install updates windows recommends - i'm @ loss , frustrated.  anyone have ideas on how fix blank screen logons?  is video driver issue??  i appreciate before frustrated , throw laptop out window.  :)  thanks in advance. answers post should include minimum information. 1.  device type. ie pc, laptop, tablet, surface. 2.  os type, home, pro, executive, etc 3.  current build....
